At the same time, the municipality will introduce micromobility permits for electric scooters from the beginning of 2026 and approves a two-year principal payment holiday for the swimming hall's investment loans.

Lempäälä approved a new municipal strategy "Lempäälä Close to You" for the years 2026-2035, emphasizing proximity of services and smooth everyday life. After debate, the council also approved by a vote of 39-3 the Haurala zoning plan, which enables the construction of 54 single-family homes and brings 380 new residents to the area - however, the building guidelines were returned for further preparation. Significant changes also included administrative regulation updates, where the senior council's representation in committees will be examined in the spring.

Lempäälä's Hakkari school will receive a 7 million euro renovation due to indoor air problems. The school has been found to have microbial damage in exterior wall structures and air leaks, which cause indoor air symptoms for students and staff. The renovation will begin in spring 2026 and be completed by the end of 2027. At the same time, the municipal executive board completed a water body monitoring program for the next ten years.
