The relocation of the Aleksanteri Aava statue located in Lempäälä center has become topical as the old library building no longer houses a library and the area is being developed. The committee decided to propose the end area of the residential apartment building at Aavankatu 2 as the new location for the statue, where it would be in a visible location near the current library. The new location enables lighting and landscaping of the statue, and the peaceful location reduces the risk of vandalism. Negotiations have been conducted with the Sakkola Foundation that donated the statue and YH Koti that owns the apartment building.
The committee received information on current affairs from various sectors. The community bus Lempi resumed operations in Lempäälä and is also selling its services to Akaa. The library is organizing a poetry competition and a diverse spring program in honor of Lempäälä's 160th anniversary year. Rural services paid over 60 million euros in agricultural subsidies last year and received an excellent customer satisfaction rating of 4.5/5.
The committee acknowledged the decisions made by officials during the period 4.12.2025-14.1.2026 and did not take them up for separate consideration. The official decisions concern routine administrative decisions of the municipality that civil servants can make independently within their authority. Committee members regularly receive decision lists for information for supervisory purposes.
The municipality's employee well-being survey was conducted in autumn 2025, with a good response rate of 70.1%. Based on the survey results, the municipality's employee well-being is at a good level overall, with an average score of 3.9. For the Welfare and Vitality Services, areas for development were identified as inter-unit cooperation and feedback from supervisors, while the high level of confidential atmosphere is to be maintained. The results will be discussed in work units, and development measures will be implemented over the next two years.

The committee approved the joint action plan of Lempäälä and Vesilahti, which defines how the municipalities will cooperate with the Tampere region employment area in 2026. The plan concerns employment services that were transferred from the state to municipalities at the beginning of 2025.
