500,000 euro swimming hall contract for five years

The municipality proposes a service purchase agreement for Vesimaailma Louhi operator services for the period February 1, 2026–January 31, 2031. The annual contract price is 500,000 euros, of which 400,000 euros is allocated to health and vitality services. The purpose of the agreement is to enable more affordable swimming hall fees for different target groups and to activate the municipality's service areas to utilize swimming hall services.

Early youth work would require additional investment of 95,000 euros

In response to a council initiative, it is stated that expanding early youth work for 10–13-year-olds would require significant additional resourcing. Hiring two new employees would require 85,000 euros per year plus 10,000 euros for other operational costs. Currently, only a weekly session is organized for this age group at Sääksjärvi.

Community space seeks new home

The community house at Hakkarin kartano is struggling with declining usage rates. Associations have complained about the functionality and accessibility of the facilities. The initiative proposes relocating the activities to the former Sarastia space in Lempäälä-talo. The matter will be resolved with the property and facility program to be completed in spring 2026.

Library significantly increased its popularity

Library service usage numbers grew strongly in 2025: loans increased by 8.9%, visitor numbers by 9.54%, and opening hours by as much as 56.41%. In honor of the anniversary year, the Lempikirjasto 160 recommendations series is being launched.
